Center for Teaching Innovation and Nexus Learning Opens with Ambitious Plans Philadelphia University celebrated the grand opening of the Center for Teaching In- novation and Nexus Learning. The Center focuses on supporting the University’s Nexus Learning curriculum, an approach that has been heralded in higher education for its bold combination of active, collaborative, real-world learning infused with the liberal arts. “The mission of the Center is to identify, celebrate, deepen and expand the teaching and learning methods central to our identity as a campus,” said Marion Roydhouse, who serves as director of the Center and special advisor to the provost. “Our commit- ment to students is that every learning experience will be one where they are engaged, excited to explore new ideas, involved in real-world projects, and able to bring together ideas from everywhere in their college lives” 27
