Interior Design Students Continue Impressive Sweep of Top Awards Philadelphia University interior design students had a remarkable run of success in awards competitions in 2012-13 with a clean sweep of first, second and third place at the 2013 International Interior Design Association Student Design Competition for the tri-state chapter. Tia Ryan ’13 won $500 for first place in the competition, followed by classmates Melissa Nemeth ’13 (second place, $300) and Patricia Oliveira ’13 (third place, $150). Ryan also was one of six PhilaU interior design students to receive top awards at the annual KlingStubbins design competition in the fall. In addition, Sarah Schaub ’13 and Sarah Sapowycz ’13 were award winners for the second straight year, joined by Julie Riley ’13, Shannon Rafferty ’14 and Colleen Barry ’14.
