POSITION VACANCY

 

TITLE OF POSITION:

Assistant/Associate Professor in Disaster Medicine and Management

STATUS: Full-time

DEPARTMENT:

Disaster Medicine and Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in disaster medicine, emergency preparedness, and emergency management required.
  • Experience in distance-education methods and technology in online education.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior university teaching experience.

  • Candidates must demonstrate a record of successful teaching, research and scholarship, and /or professional service activities to support an appointment to assistant/associate professor.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Doctoral degree.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instruction in an online master of science program.
  • Creating liaisons with disaster organizations and agencies.
  • Curriculum development.
  • Disaster-exercise planning.
  • Student recruiting and advising.
  • Grant writing and other scholarly activities.
