QUALIFICATIONS: |
- Initial and current certification by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy as an occupational therapist
- Minimum at least one year of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities
- Minimum of one year of experience in collegiate teaching
- Minimum of five years experience in occupational therapy, including practice as an occupational therapist
- Demonstrated knowledge of education, certification, and roles and scope of practice of occupational therapy assistants
- Administrative or management experience
- Familiarity with Standards for an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program as promulgated by ACOTE
- Demonstrated strengths in curriculum development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit
- Clear commitment to non-traditional forms of education

| EDUCATION
REQUIRED: |
- Minimum of a master's degree (doctoral degree preferred) in Occupational Therapy or related discipline
|
|
|
RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Overall administration of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and its staff and faculty
- Curriculum and program development
- Organization, implementation, strategic planning, evaluation, and budgeting
- Selection of faculty and staff, budgeting and maintenance of accreditation
