TITLE OF POSITION:

Adjunct Instructor, Middle East Studies

STATUS:

Part-time, one-semester contract

 

DEPARTMENT:

College of Science, Health and the Liberal Arts

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be qualified to teach "The Middle East," an area studies course that introduces students to the contemporary culture, politics, economics and recent history of the Middle East. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Ph.D. (or expected completion of Ph.D. by August 2015) in Middle Eastern history, Middle East studies, political science, human geography, or related field is preferred. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

One section of this Fall 2015 semester course will be offered on a Tu/Th schedule from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Classes begin Aug. 24 and final grades will be due by Dec. 17.
