Assistant Professor of Construction Management

TITLE OF POSITION:

Assistant Professor of Construction Management

STATUS:

 Full-time, 10-month renewable contract

DEPARTMENT:

 College of Architecture and the Built Environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be qualified by education and experience to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must possess credentials that merit appointment at the rank of assistant professor. Demonstrated college level teaching skills, and a strong record of research/scholarship/creative activity and/or professional practice.

Five years of relevant industry experience; research experience; knowledge concerning ACCE accreditation and successful curriculum assessment practices; and online teaching experience.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

A graduate degree or foreign equivalent in construction management, engineering, architecture or other appropriate relevant field.  A terminal degree is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in traditional on-campus and online learning environments; advising undergraduate and graduate students; assisting the program director with assessment, accreditation and other administrative duties; developing and maintaining a sponsored research agenda and/or continuing professional achievements and practice; providing service to the program, College and University; and establishing relationships with industry partners and professional organizations.
