Candidates must have industry experience; a minimum of 5 years of industry work experience is required. Strong evidence of excellent conceptual and technical ability is required. College-level teaching experience is preferred.  Experience leading an academic program is a plus.

Candidate must have the education and academic administrative experience necessary to lead multiple affiliated design programs. Philadelphia University faculty work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment that values real-world, integrative, professional education, infused with the liberal arts. S/he must have an aptitude for collaboration with other disciplines: both those closely aligned with the programs and those disciplines necessary for cross-disciplinary education. 


A master’s degree in one of the program disciplines or an allied discipline is required.  A combination of a master’s degree in an unrelated discipline and eight or more years in the industry is an acceptable substitute credential.  


This faculty member will teach classes at all levels of the curriculum within one or more of these disciplines. S/he will also serve as the program director of two undergraduate programs and one graduate program.
