TITLE OF POSITION:

Assistant Professor of Psychology and Coordinator of Psychology Online Program

STATUS:

Full-time, tenure track, 12 month contract

DEPARTMENT:

College of Science, Health and Liberal Arts

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must possess a research doctorate in psychology in one of the following areas of specialization: Experimental, Social or Educational Psychology.  Prior teaching experience and demonstrated success with advanced online pedagogical methods.  Prior administrative experience is highly desirable.  The successful candidate will develop a thriving research program in his or her area of interest in which undergraduates can be engaged.  Candidates will illustrate an aptitude to engage in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Research Doctorate in Psychology required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The faculty member will be responsible for developing and the ongoing coordination of a new online undergraduate psychology curriculum, which will be modeled on the existing on-campus psychology major.  He or she will also teach two courses per semester in the on-campus undergraduate program and one online course per year in the online undergraduate program.  Academic advising of online and on-campus students will be required.
