QUALIFICATIONS:
|
Candidates must be qualified by education and experience to administer a professional architecture program.
|
|
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
|
Candidates should have a terminal degree in architecture at the graduate level or foreign equivalent. Candidates must possess credentials that merit appointment at the rank of associate or full professor with tenure. Candidates must have substantial teaching and professional experience in architecture with demonstrated administrative skills, leadership qualities and a strong record of research/scholarship/creative activity and/or professional design work. Architecture licensure is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
The successful candidate is expected to: provide strong leadership and management skills in working with faculty in curriculum development, assessment and strategic planning for the programs; recruit excellent faculty and students into the programs; oversee accreditation and program review processes; serve on college and university committees; bring in external support for the programs through private fundraising; facilitate and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration within the design disciplines and the university; show evidence of and continue a strong commitment to research/scholarship/creative activity; provide strong leadership skills in working with college administrators, the architecture professions, and other allied professions and disciplines; and teach in one or more of the college’s programs.
