QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years of progressive experience in (college) recruiting or work in a career center; knowledge of higher education

Experience in recruiting or evidence of relationship building

Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, take initiative, follow through and work independently while contributing to team effort

Project management and event planning; ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

Group presentation skills

Operates effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with proven experience in meeting target goals

Available for limited travel and occasional evening/weekend commitments 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Master’s degree in counseling, human resources, Higher Ed or marketing preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Philadelphia University is accepting applications for a dynamic Associate Director to oversee the management and growth of industry relations for the Career Services Center. The Associate Director: 

  • Manages industry relations and recruiting including employer outreach and response, recruiting strategies and relationship building
  • Coordinates all details of an active on-campus recruiting program
  • Initiates employer outreach to recruit, engage and maintain employer relationships
  • Oversees corporate event planning and employer outreach for four annual recruiting events (Corporate Connections, Virtual Fashion Career Fair, Career and Internship Fair and Design Expo) including coordination of all event details
  • Develops creative employer programming to support student programming and to advance employer brands on campus
  • Oversees the recruiting database, including monitoring job postings and resume referrals
  • Serves as manager for PhilaU Talent Network LinkedIn group
  • Assists Director with new program development and strategies
  • Coaches students and alumni in job search appointments and presents workshops on career and professional development topics
