QUALIFICATIONS:

 A minimum of three years experience as a supervisor in a higher education setting is critical.  Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills required. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a team-centered environment and work independently without constant supervision.

Computing Support/Academic Computing in a constantly changing environment. Attention to detail and demonstrated follow-up and follow thorough is a critical skill. Supervise and lead a team of support analysts who provide support to the faculty, staff and students on all issues related to the University's technology environment.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science required. MS preferred. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 The Office of Information Resources is seeking a Director of Computing Support/Coordinator of Academic Computing to lead a team of seven professional who provide desktop and mobile support for faculty, staff, and students. The director is reports to the CIO and is responsible for all aspects of classroom, computing, audio-visual, and broad-based technology support on the campus. The director will work collaboratively with four other area directors/mangers and the CIO to determine strategies and management solutions that fulfill the technology needs of the campus community.  Must be able to think strategically, plan, organize, set priorities, and develop a vision for the Computing Support/Academic Computing unit.
