Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor, Atmospheric Science

Status:
Part-time, one-semester contract

Department:
College of Science, Health and the Liberal Arts

Qualifications:
Candidates must be qualified to teach "The Atmosphere and the Environment,” an environmental studies course that also introduces some basic chemistry concepts. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.

Education Required:
Ph.D. in atmospheric science, chemistry, environmental science, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:
This fall semester course is on a Tue/Thur schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Classes begin on Aug. 22nd and final grades are due by Dec. 15th.

Candidates should submit a letter of application detailing teaching experience and areas of academic specialization, as well as a curriculum vitae. Additional materials may be requested at a later date. Review of candidates will begin in late June and continue until the position is filled.
