Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor, Japanese

Status:
Part-time, one-semester contract

Department:
College of Science, Health and the Liberal Arts

Qualifications:
Candidates must be qualified to teach beginning Japanese I and II during the Fall 2017 semester. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.  

Education Required:
MA or PhD in Japanese language or literature is preferred.

Responsibilities:
These Fall 2017 courses are scheduled on a Mon/Wed schedule: Japanese I meets from 3:30 to 4:45 pm and Japanese II meets from 5:00 to 6:15 pm.  Classes begin on August 21st and final grades are due by December 15th.

Candidates should submit a letter of application detailing teaching experience and areas of academic specialization, as well as a curriculum vita.  Additional materials may be requested at a later date.  Review of candidates will begin in mid-July and continue until the position is filled.
