Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor, Advanced Computer Aided Design

Status:
Part-time, one-semester contract

Department:
School of Design and Engineering

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have an excellent understanding of creative textile design and will be qualified to teach the courses as outlined below. Each position requires exceptional communication skills and experience providing design critiques. Industry experience that includes creative-concept development through product-development is preferred. Experience teaching at the university-level is preferred.

Education Required:
A master’s degree or five or more years of experience in the textile design industry is required.

Responsibilities:
Course focuses on advanced textile design digital workflow using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and/or other textile design specific software. Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required as well as industry knowledge of textile design digital workflow, trend research and concept development.
