Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor, Community and Trauma Counseling

C-SHLA, Community and Trauma Counseling Masters program

Qualifications:
Candidates must be mental health professionals.  Preference will be given to candidates who are Licensed Professional Counselors and those with expertise in trauma. Previous teaching experience preferred, but not necessary. Pre-employment background check is required.

Education Required:
Candidates must have an earned masters or doctoral degree.  Candidates with graduate degrees from CACREP accredited programs preferred.

Responsibilities:
Duties include teaching one or more sections of graduate level counseling courses.  The CTC Program holds classes on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as two weekends per month.  Candidates could choose to teach in either the weekend or weekday program, or both.  Course options include Counseling Assessment, Career Counseling, Counseling Theories, among other possibilities.  The Adjunct Instructor could also serve as a practicum or internship faculty supervisor/instructor, and/or a group process co-facilitator for the students’ experiential group counseling experience.
