Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor, World Cinemas

Status:
Part-time, one-semester contract

Department:
College of Science, Health and the Liberal Arts

Qualifications:
Candidates must be qualified to teach World Cinemas, an introductory international film course in the general education curriculum. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.

Education Required:
Ph.D. (or expected completion of Ph.D. by August 2017) in film studies, media studies, cultural studies, comparative literature or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:
This fall 2017 semester course is being offered on a Tuesday/Thursday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Classes begin Aug. 22, and final grades are due by Dec. 15.
