Looking for help with your retirement needs?
The Office of Human Resources is pleased to offer you a new program that can help you understand the very complex and important subject of retirement. MetLife our dental provider, who also provides comprehensive insurance services is offering the MetLife retirewise program to full-time faculty and staff. Spouses are also invited to attend. Whether your retirement is a number of years away, or right around the corner, you will have access to these complimentary educational seminars right here on campus! The seminar series will be held at Philadelphia University in the Tuttleman Auditorium on the following dates and times:
| Module 1: Building the Foundation & Creating and Protecting Wealth | April
22, 2008 5pm - 7pm |
| Employees will start to envision their own retirement, based on an understanding of current and future retirement trends. They will start to consider their financial needs in relation to these life plans, by understanding some financial basics and budgeting for retirement. | |
| Module 2: Establishing Your Retirement Income Stream | April 29, 2008 5pm - 7pm |
| Participants will learn how to structure a retirement income stream, and learn the role of income annuities. They will identify those risks and threaten the retirement income stream. | |
| Module 3: Making the Most of What You Have | May 6, 2008 5pm - 7pm |
| Module 4 shifts the focus beyond how money works, grows and is converted into long-term income stream. It will review relevant employer benefits so that employees have a clear understanding of how their benefits fit into their own planning process. A related area of discussion is the Seven Domains of Living, critical aspects of life, besides money, that can be considered as employees plan for retirement. | |
