Office of Residence Life

Undergraduate residence life, housing or conference services experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.

Education Required:
Bachelor-level professional enrolled full-time in graduate-level programs at a local/tristate area university or college.


This is a 10-month live-in position that supervises undergraduate resident assistants and manages the operations in one or more residential facilities. Responsibilities include student contact, supervising staff and hall programs, student discipline, maintaining and tracking work orders, damage assessment, key management and duty coverage.

Essential Duties:
• Student supervision, including weekly staff meetings, biweekly staff one-on-one meetings, managing evaluation processes and providing support and guidance to student staff.
• Manage student and parent concerns. Be available and visible in residential area. Support all students regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, ability, culture and other areas of difference. Seek out opportunities to learn about areas you do not understand and work to be an advocate for all students.
• Serve on the on-call crisis and response duty rotation. Confront all violations in a professional manner. Assist staff with confronting situations to allow for a safe and quick resolution to the incident. Serve as University Judicial Hearing Officer.
• Participate fully in RA training. Assist staff during semester with roommate agreements, building goals and support campus-wide sponsored events.
• Oversee the physical conditions of the building and manage administrative responsibilities regarding housing operations and facilities management.
