A111 - Design I
This page contains information about the information
literacy project for A111 students. On this page you'll find information about
the instructor expectations for each student with respect to developing better
research skills.
In this course we will focus on the following skills:
 | Gaining familiarity with the Gutman Library homepage and website |
 | Effective searching of the online catalog, to find both books and journals |
 | Gaining familiarity with the online databases appropriate to architectural
research |
 | Locating the full-text of articles using article citation information |
 | citation and documentation of information sources |
Here are some things you'll be doing in this course:
 | Completing a project that spans the course of several
sessions. This project involves a component of outside research (resources
beyond your textbook and the web). |
 | Applying to your
final project the information and researching skills introduced to you
during the instruction session with your liaison Librarian
