CLASSES

This page identifies those courses identified by Science & Health faculty as those in which there will be an emphasis on developing information literacy skills. Students in these classes can obtain more detailed information about information literacy activities, documents and resources for their specific class.

L121-Environmental Science - Environmental Action ProjectThis is a community service learning project that will expose you to agencies and local environmental concerns. The EAP is mandatory: you will not pass L121 if you fail to complete any part.
All Information Literacy and library research-related materials are mounted in your instructor's Blackboard site. You will be completing an exercise involving searching the online catalog, and will receive a hands-on instructional session with a librarian, to introduce you to the resources you will need to complete the research for your EAP presentation.

L321-Chemistry I for Science Majors

This paper requires some library and web-based research. You will be exposed to specialized resources for science and Chemistry.
 

H8XX - Various Psychology Courses - Research instruction regarding the use of specialized databases and publications in the field of psychology is provided by the librarian liaison to the School of Science and Health. Courses involved in specialized instruction and support have included: H801-Introduction to Psychology; H804-Introduction to Experimental Psychology; H805-Senior Colloquium in Psychology; H823-Abnormal Psychology; H886-Psychology of Women;  and H888-Psychology of Addiction.
