INTERNSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR EMPLOYERS:
TYPES OF POSITIONS
Employers list many types of positions of interest to
Philadelphia University Internship students. It
is important to remember that each internship is
intended to be a professional learning experience, and as
such each position should offer a student the opportunity to
apply learned classroom skills and to develop as a
professional in the field.
Students may elect to work part- or full-time and typically
work between 12 and 20 hours per week while classes are in session. Full-time Internship
students work 35 hours or more per week. Actual work
schedules for the student’s semester of employment may be
arranged with each student individually.
