Philadelphia University Industrial and Systems engineering
students will:
- Acquire the basic knowledge of mathematics, science
and engineering fundamentals necessary to contribute as
an Industrial and Systems Engineer.
- Acquire the specific knowledge associated with
modern Industrial and Systems engineering practice
through exposure to principles, tools and methods
associated with manufacturing systems, operations
research, engineering statistics, information systems,
human factors and methods analysis.
- Have the ability to understand, analyze, design and
optimize processes and systems found in industry,
government, health delivery, finance, and manufacturing.
- Have a strong foundation in the humanities, arts and
social sciences, which will be applicable to the social
and ethical responsibilities of practicing engineers in
a diverse environment
and society.
- Be effective oral and written communicators.
- Perform in an ethical manner as a practicing
engineer.
