What is Instructional Technology?
Over the years, instructional technology has been equated with the televisions, computers, and other related hardware that we use in the classroom. It is much more than that. Instructional technology is how we leverage these tools in conjunction with sound pedagogy to produce an appropriate and effective teaching and learning environment.
Our Goals
- Provide faculty with a technology skill set they can integrate into their curricula to
enhance teaching and learning - Provide faculty with the knowledge to effectively use Blackboard and iTunes University
- Evaluate the effectiveness of these tools from both the teaching and learning perspectives
- Assist faculty with the design and development of pedagogically sound multimedia
educational resources - Establish a peer support network for faculty working towards technology integration
- Explore new technologies and their potential uses
- Act as primary contact for Blackboard and iTunes University
