The Learning & Advising Center serves as the primary academic advising resource for first-year and transfer students. Advisors are all teaching Faculty who monitor student progress and regularly reach out to them. First-year and transfer students may also drop in on their own initiative to meet with any advisor at any time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
First-year advisors assist new students to:
make good academic choices and decisions
learn the requirements for particular majors
First-year advisors also:
monitor the academic progress of their advisees
help students become familiar with University policies and resources
suggest strategies for classroom success
Advising Drop-In Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, No appointment necessary
