Advising
The Learning & Advising Center serves as the primary academic advising resource of first year and transfer students. Drop-in advising and faculty advisor outreach to students provide these students the opportunity to consult regularly with a faculty advisor.
First year advisors assist new students to:
- select courses
- learn the requirements for particular majors
- make good academic choices and decisions
- suggest strategies for classroom success
- monitor student academic progress
- refer students to appropriate PhilaU services
- prepare students to transition to upper level academic advising
The Learning & Advising Center offers drop in hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, no appointment is necessary.
