The Learning & Advising Center offers content and skills tutoring for a wide range of Philadelphia University courses. Trained peer tutors assist students to become better learners and gain the confidence and skills to achieve their academic goals. Peer tutors meet with students one-on-one and in small groups. They also lead course-related workshops and help guide students to get the most out of collaborative learning.
For high-demand courses across the Philadelphia University curriculum, peer tutoring is available without appointment on a drop-in basis according to our published schedule. Peer tutoring for more specialized courses (listed below) is available by appointment. Call 215.951.2799 or drop by the Learning & Advising Center at Haggar Hall to make an appointment.
If you have a scheduling conflict and cannot see a tutor during his or her hours, or if you do not see a tutor on the schedule for the course you need, please contact theTutorial Coordinator, Sarah Spath, at 215.951.6834 or spaths@philau.edu. If you contact us a week in advance, we can usually match you up with a tutor.
Peer tutoring will begin for the Spring semester on Monday, 1/23
