Reserve Policies

Purpose

The Paul J. Gutman Library Reserve Book Room supports course instruction by providing access to materials needed by students placed by faculty for current courses. The Reserve Book Room staff will place required and recommended materials for current courses on reserve. The materials are maintained in a separate location within the library, and access to the material is more restricted than is the access to items in the general circulating collection.

Placing Materials on Reserve

Gutman Library will place on physical reserve materials including monographs, textbooks, AV materials, copies of journal articles, and/or photocopies of old tests. Items placed on reserve can be from the Gutman Library collection or owned by the instructor (personal copies).

All items to be placed on reserve, whether they are library-owned materials, photocopies, or personal items, must be brought to the library circulation desk or sent to the library via intercampus mail.
