Services for Philadelphia University Alumni
Alumni are welcome to use the collections of Gutman Library. An alumni card
is needed to gain entry to the building, and for eligibility for book borrowing.
Electronic databases are not available to
alumni. All library
computers require a currently valid network account for access. At this time we
are unable to provide access to library electronc resources, to the Internet or to word processing, spreadsheet or other software for this reason.
For additional information on the College's alumni programs and services,
visit the
Alumni Relations Home Page.
To get an alumni card: Contact the Alumni Office at (v)215-951-2929 or
(f)215-951-2569, and request the card. Alumni may also obtain a card in person
at the Alumni Office, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
To get book borrowing privileges: Stop by the Gutman Library and
complete a patron registration form. A bar code will be affixed to your alumni
card.
Study Rooms: Alumni that present a
currently valid alumni card may use a study room on the condition that no
current students are waiting to use a room. If alumni are using a study room we
reserve the right to ask that the room be made available to any waiting
students. There is a limit of four hours for use of a study room. Alumni may not
reserve a study room.
Reference and Referral Services: Alumni may submit requests for
assistance to the Gutman Library Reference Department (215-951-2848). We will
attempt to answer all factual questions and requests for research assistance,
but extensive questions may exceed the scope of our ability to respond. In cases
where we are unable to respond, we may be able to refer requestors to another
source or organization.
Due to agreements and shared policies, Gutman Library is currently unable to offer Interlibrary Loan Service to alumni. Those who need a referral to a fee-based document delivery
service may contact us for the names of several firms or alumni can contatc thier local public library. |
