on a specific topic. We subscribe to the following e-journal collections. The
individual journal titles included in all of the collections included on this
page are also included in Gutman Library's JournalList.
American Chemical Society (ACS) -

Online Journals Search Engine (OJoSE)
American
Chemical Society
This provides access to 30+ titles from the
American Chemical Society. Features available include a search system for
locating articles by topic and an e-mail table of contents alert service. From
the ACS Publications Home Page click on the button (left side of page) for
"journals and magazines". From this page, you can request a journal by
title; they are listed alphabetically. Alternately, you can click on the
"search" tab (top of page) to search the collection by keyword. Click
here to connect now.
SpringerLink
SpringerLink is used primarily for science and technology, but also contains
social science and humanities journals.
Most physical sciences are represented, as well as computer science, materials
science and health science.
We have fulltext access to a large portion of SpringerLink journals, but not the
entire collection. Articles available in fulltext will appear in your search
results list with the green rectangle icon.

ScienceDirect College Edition
ScienceDirect is a collection of nearly 2,000
electronic journals. The collection is divided into different subject
collections. Currently, Gutman Library subscribes ONLY to the Physical Sciences
and Engineering
collection. The Physical Sciences and Engineering collection contains approximately
850 full-text
journals that provides disciplinary coverage for chemistry, chemical
engineering, computer science, earth sciences, energy, engineering, materials
science, math, and physics and astronomy. Though we only have
access to the full text of journals in the Physical Sciences and Engineering collection, it is
possible to do a search of the entire ScienceDirect collection in the pursuit of
literature on a wide range of social science and health science topics. To proceed once
you are in ScienceDirect, click on the "search" tab. You can
search all the collections, or change the "display" to only
"subscribed" collections - which will limit the retrieval to journals
in the Materials Sciences Collection.

DOAJ
- Directory of Open Access Journals
Open access journals are free, full text, quality
controlled scientific and scholarly journals. Gutman Library does not subscribe
to these journals - and they are not currently listed in our catalog or on our
JournalList service. Journals are available in categories such as chemistry,
biology, engineering, arts and architecture, business, economics, and
environmental sciences. This service was started in 2003 so extensive title
selections or many years of issues are not yet available. Click

Free Full-Text Journals in
Chemistry
It's not clear from where
this list
originates (it may be Russia) but it does list a good number of titles that are
supposedly permanently available.

From Stanford University Libraries, this project provides partial fulltext
access to several articles across many disciplines. Use the advanced
search feature
to find free fulltext. According to HighWire's website,
"HighWire
Press hosts the largest repository of free full-text life science articles in
the world, with 1,904,059 articles
available without subscription."
PubMed Central
This companion site to PubMed, the web version of
Medline, provides access to the National Library of Medicine's free digital
archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature. There are currently
about 100 titles. You can browse or search.
