  • Ask - ask an english-based question
  • Clusty - get your results organized into topical areas (by "clusters")
  • EasySearcher - Lets you search seven different engines (not together) from one screen.
  • Exalead - lots of nice features, including a proximity search
  • Excite - Search more than 1 million web documents.
  • Google - Currently the most popular search engine and for good reasons; it works well.
  • GoodSearch - every search results in a small contribution to a charity of your choice
  • HotBot - Searches every word on the WWW
  • Lycos - popular web engine
  • QuickFindIt - not quite an engine, but a "channel" search - target searches to specific topical sites
