Journal List is an online list of both print and online journals held or accessible via Gutman Library. Click here to search by title or browse by subject.

The New Books list is published almost every month during the Fall and Spring semesters. Click here to see the latest New Books.

Google Scholar communicates with our JournalList tool to indicate what is available in fulltext at Gutman Library. On campus, these links are visible in your Google Scholar search results list. If you are off-campus you need to configure your Google Scholar settings:

Connect to Google Scholar at http://scholar.google.com
Click the Settings link in the upper right corner of the Google Scholar search screen
On the left side of your screen click on Library Links
In the search box, enter Philadelphia University and click Find Library
Select Philadelphia University-Full-Text@Gutman Library and click Save

When you conduct a Google Scholar search, you will now see associated with the items in your results list links that read Philadelphia University-Full-Text@Gutman LIbrary. These links enable click-through access to items we hold electronically in full-text.

Persistent Links to articles from some online databases can be added to your Bb site.

• In EBSCO databases: when viewing the fulltext of the article, click the icon in the right frame entitled Permalink. The Permalink URL will appear in a box at the top of the article text. Copy and paste the *entire* URL and add it as a Weblink in your Bb site.
• In ProQuest databases: when viewing the Citation/Abstract (not the fulltext) of the article provides a Document URL at the bottom of the citation information page. Copy and paste the document URL into your Bb site.
• JSTOR provides a Stable URLfor articles. The Stable URL is visible in the citation information of the JSTOR article.
  
  You will need to add two versions of the Stable URL to your Bb site, one for on-campus access and one for off-campus access.
  
  For on-campus students: add the Stable URL, and add it as a Web link in your Bb site. Do not copy and past the URL you see in your browser's web address bar, this is not the Stable URL.
  
  For off-campus students: the proxy server prefix must be placed at the beginning of the JSTOR Stable URL for off-campus students to authenticate against with their network user ID and password. The EZ proxy prefix to add to the stable url is  http://ezproxy.philau.edu:2048/login?url=
  
  Add the entire proxy server url to the front of the JSTOR Stable URL: http://ezproxy.philau.edu:2048/loginurl=http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.1086/657448

Table of Contents Alerts for your favorite publications can be set up in different ways. The Tutorials Research Guide: Creating Search and Table of Contents Alerts can help.

Many publisher websites also provide the option to set up TOC alerts, regardless of whether or not the library has a subscription to the publication. Contact Jordana Shane for assistance.

Note: Table of Contents alerts are also referred to as TOC Alerts, Journal Alerts or New Issue Alerts.

RefWorks is a tool similar to EndNote. We have a university-wide subscription to RefWorks. Connect to the RefWorks Research Guide for instructions. Contact Stan Gorski at GorskiS@philau.edu or Karen Albert at AlbertK@philau.edu for assistance.

  Blackboard training sessions for faculty are offered by OIR at various times during the semester. Check your email for notices of upcoming training sessions.
  
  Individual training can be scheduled by contacting the Help Desk via email, by phone at 215-951-4648 or by submitting an online Self Service Form.
  
  Online training modules from Atomic Learning are also available. To connect to Atomic Learning, you must enter your network userid and password.
