PALCI E-ZBorrow
|
What is PALCI E-ZBorrow?
The Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium,
Inc. (PALCI) E-ZBorrow lets you simultaneously
search the catalogs of over 50+ academic
libraries, and directly request and borrow books
not available at the Paul J. Gutman Library. E-ZBorrow is
currently not available for requesting journals or
photocopies of journal/newspaper articles. Your
requested books arrive at Gutman Library usually
within 3 to 5 business days. Once notified by
email, books can be picked up at the Gutman
Library Circulation Desk.
How to use PALCI E-ZBorrow?
Five easy steps:
|
| |
1. Search PhilaFind
to determine whether the Library owns
the
book(s) you need.
|
| |
2. If the books are
not currently owned by Gutman Library or
are currently checked out or otherwise
unavailable, use PALCI E-ZBorrow.
|
| |
3. Connect
to PALCI E-ZBorrow here
|
4. Getting connected: |
| |
ENTER YOUR ID
NUMBER: When prompted,
enter the 14-digit number on the barcode
sticker on the back of your PhilaU campus
card. Enter the 14-digit barcode without any spaces between them. If the numbers on the barcode are not
visible use your colleague ID number. Go to
https://www.philau.edu/security/checkid/ if you
need to find your colleague ID number. Drop the initial two zeroes from
the colleague ID number when you enter it.
5. Searching:
After you locate a desired item, select
'Submit Request.' The PALCI system
will choose the best lender out of the
available lenders for that item. E-mail
updates about the status of your requests
are sent promptly. |
