What is it?
A collection of multimedia CD-ROMs that profile
architects and their work. Each CD features the works of different architects.
The CDs include hours of interviews with the architect, an oral discussion of
their works, a VR panorama of the buildings, photos, and floor plan drawings.
Below is a list of the architects currently available along with a description of the CD.
Planet Architecture CDs are kept on reserve at Gutman Library.
CD One -
Features the work of Eric Owen Moss whose works include "The Box",
Paramount Laundry, and Lindblade Tower.
CD Two
- Features the work of Will Bruder (Townsend House), Eric Owen Moss
(Lawson-Weston House), Scogin Elam Bray (Nomentana House) and Roto R (Carlson-Reges
House)
CD Three
- Features the work of Mark Mack (Thomas House), Frank Israel (Dan House),
Morphosis (Blades House and Landa House) and Rick Joy (Palmer Rose House)
CD Four - Features the work of Richard Fernau & Laura Hartman, Anne Fougeron, Jim
Jennings and Robert Swatt
CD Five
- Features four Japanese houses. Includes interviews with Hitoshi Abe, Jun Aoki,
Takaharu Tezuka, Yui Tezuka, Makoto Shine Watanabe, and Yoko Kinoshita Watanabe
CD Six -
Features the work of R.M. Schindler; this CD features his Kings Rd. House, How
House, Tischler House, and Kallis House
