BORROWING LIBRARY MATERIAL
Books and other materials may be borrowed and returned at the Check-Out
desk on the main floor of the library. To ensure their availability, reference
books, magazines and journals do not leave the library. Barcodes attached
to valid ID cards allow you to borrow library materials for a loan period of three
weeks (the faculty loan period is the semester). If the materials
are not overdue, and they have not been requested by another patron, they may
be renewed in person or over the phone.
JOURNALS / MAGAZINES

and magazines are searchable in PhilaFIND, the library's online catalog. In
addition, through library databases and e-journal collections an additional
8,000 full-text electronic publication can be accessed. To search for titles

electronic publications.
RESERVE COLLECTION
Faculty frequently place books and articles on reserve for student use. These
materials are listed on the library catalog and can be signed out for use
within the library at the Check-Out desk. Many instructors also make reserve
readings electronically available on ERes. Audio
visual materials, such as videos, DVDs, and audio tapes are also placed on
reserve with the main reserve collection (not in Media Services). The reserve
collection is found at the library's circulation desk.
