The CFA Preparation concentration is designed for those seeking the Chartered Financial Analyst designation who have an undergraduate finance background. The MBA-CFA Preparation option provides students with tailored finance courses and CFA Level 1 exam preparation, in addition to the core MBA curriculum. This is offered in partnership with the Philadelphia Chartered Financial Analyst Society.

*The CFA review course is a zero-credit course.
The Level 1 CFA Exam Preparatory Course occurs in 18 modules over 16 weeks. The course is offered twice per year: January – May and August – November. The mock exam is provided at the end of the preparatory course. The preparatory course may be taken either concurrently or upon completion of the CFA Preparation concentration courses. All benefits are paid to the CFA Society directly from Thomas Jefferson University with the exception of the fees for the Level 1 CFA Exam. These fees are reimbursed to the student pending submission of receipts indicating the exam was taken and the exam was passed.
Please Note: This program has been designed for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in finance. However, students with an undergraduate finance minor or who have completed significant undergraduate finance coursework are encouraged to contact the MBA Office for further advice at 215.951.2950.
