Dana completed her Bachelor degree in Fine Art from Brandeis University in 1989, her B.S.N. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and her M.S.N. and Midwifery Certification from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
Dana has worked in birth center and tertiary care settings, in a variety of urban, federally qualified health centers and a hospital owned private practice – all as part of one growing midwifery practice in Philadelphia! Currently, she is working with Greater Philadelphia Health Action as a midwife. Dana has precepted graduate midwifery and nurse practitioner students for ten years, has been a lecturer in undergraduate obstetric nursing at Philadelphia Community College, and participated in panel discussions and clinical lab teaching at the University of Pennsylvania. She has also been a sales and marketing manager and clinical consultant for OB Everywhere, Inc. maker of electronic prenatal medical records operating on both PDA and Web.
She lives in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania with her husband, two children and her ceramic pots and sculptures. |
