Elizabeth Parr, CNM, MSN
Senior Midwife Tutor
Elizabeth received her BA from Beloit College, her BSN
from Case Western Reserve University, and her MSN/Midwifery
from the University of Pennsylvania.
She has practiced midwifery in a variety of settings,
including a free standing birth center, a hospital clinic,
and a private physician practice. She is the author of
Choosing a Nurse-Midwife: Your Guide to Safe, Sensitive Care
During Pregnancy and the Birth of Your Child (John Wiley,
1994.)
Elizabeth was one of the founding faculty of the
Community-Based Nurse-Midwifery Education Program (CNEP),
where she functioned as a course coordinator, clinical
coordinator, and student advisor. She was a founder of the
Institute of Midwifery, and helped define the role of the
Midwife Tutor with Phyllis Long and the first certificate
program class.

Elizabeth lives in Emmaus, PA with her husband, Ed, and two
children.
