Computer Labs Information

The Office of Information Resources provides a number of technology laboratories for general use and for academic instructional purposes.

General Purpose Lab Schedule

During the Fall and Spring semesters, the General Purpose Labs operate along the following schedule. This schedule generally mirrors the library schedule which can be found here. For contact information for each lab please scroll down to the lab information table.

Campus Laboratory Hardware and Software.

Logging in at the technology laboratory or on Podium computers.

student should always log onto campus machines with:

Login: "student\YourUserName"
Password: YourPassword

faculty or staff member should always log onto campus machines with:

Login: "philacol\YourUserName"
Password: YourPassword

This will ensure the user is logged in properly has access to available network based resources.

If the user is having trouble logging in, go to the Password Reset page to reset the user's password.

 

Logging off

To ensure the integrity of the user's information and work is saved be sure to log off of the system when finished using.

On the PC:
Click the “Windows Pearl/Start” button.
Click the “Log off” button.
The user will now be logged out.

On a Mac:
Click the “Apple” icon in the upper right of the screen.
Click “log out”. The user will now be logged out.

 

Printing

Please visit one of our printing pages dedicated to students or faculty and staff. These pages explain how to print in the labs using a personal computer, as well as with the lab computers.


Where to get help for lab computers

If issues arise with a lab computer or hardware please notify the Technology Help Desk. Make sure to have the computer label (In white tape on the front of the computer) handy. During the repair time, please use another available computer.
