Voicemail Quick Reference Guide


Record Your Name 

Access Voicemail (2500) then log into your Voice mailbox (mailbox number #, password#) press:

  1. 8 9 - To change the personal verification
  2. 5 - To record
  3. # - To stop recording
  4. 2 - To review recording
  5. 7 6 - To delete
  6. 5 - To rerecord

Record Your Greeting 

Access Voicemail (2500) then log into your Voicemailbox (mailbox number #, password#) press:

  1. 8 2 - To record personal greeting
  2. 1– To record your external greeting
    2 - To record your internal greeting
    3 - To record your temporary greeting
  3. 5 - To record
  4. 2 - To review greeting
  5. 7 6 - To delete

Record Your Messages

  1. Call the extension where you want to leave a message. 
  2. When Voicemail answers, wait for the tone; then leave a message. 
  3. You can press # to skip the greeting of the person you called and go directly to the tone.

Sending a Recorded Message

Access Voicemail (2500) then log into your Voicemailbox (mailbox number #, password#) press:

  1. 7 5 - To record

  2. 1– To enter destination
  3. 5 - To record
  4. # - To stop recording
  5. 7 9 - To send

Transferring out of Voicemail

If the person you want to speak to is not at his/her extension and you are greeted by Voicemail, you can hang up or you can press # and dial another extension and #.

Creating Distribution Lists

You can send a message to several people in the same way that you would send a message to an individual — just dial the number of the distribution list instead of the extension. Each list can contain 99 entries, however, entry must be put in individually.

Access Voicemail (2500) then log into your Voicemailbox (mailbox number #, password#) press:

  1. 8 5 For mailbox options
  2. Enter list (1 through 9)
  3. 5 To create your distribution list
  4. Enter destinations, separate with #, ## to end list
  5. 2 To review list
  6. 7 6 To delete list
