Welcome to the Technology Help Desk'sFaculty and Staff Personal Computing SupportThe Office of Information Technology provides limited computer support for off-campus personal systems. Staff and faculty accessing our services must be a currently employed by Philadelphia University. If you have questions or issues regarding services, please click here to find out how to contact the Technology Help Desk who will assist you with your request.
The Office of Information Technology does not provide hardware support for personal machines or printers; however, we have an agreement with The Computer Fixer to provide these services. The Computer Fixer offers discounted rates for Philadelphia University staff and faculty, fast turn-around time, detailed estimates prior to repairing, certified experienced technicians, and two convenient locations for carry-in (Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.) The Computer Fixer is also an authorized warranty repair center for various PC manufacturers. To find out more please click here.
The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce that three major suppliers of computing hardware, Dell, Gateway and Apple, have agreed to extend higher education discount pricing to Philadelphia University students, staff, and faculty. Faculty and staff will be required to provide proof of affiliation with a valid Philadelphia University ID.
Questions regarding configuration and hardware specifications should be directed to the respective vendor. Each retail store has an inventory of computers in various configurations that should address a wide variety of needs.
