M.S. in Disaster Medicine and Management
The M.S. in Disaster Medicine and Management program was developed to prepare individuals with the knowledge and expertise to manage and develop the increasingly complex disaster management and preparedness requirements of the 21st century.
Recent events have focused the world’s attention on the prevalence of both natural and manmade disasters. The effects of all of these disasters on people, animals, the environment, physical structures and our public infrastructure have been immense. This increased attention to our public safety, emergency medical services (EMS), Emergency Management, and public health systems has created a need for individuals skilled to manage and prepare for new potential disasters. Our distinctive curriculum fully prepares students to become leaders in all areas of disaster and emergency management.
