Wendy Wachter-Schutz, MS, OTR/L is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Academic Fieldwork Coordinator of the graduate program in Occupational Therapy. She received her B.A. in Biology and Human Services from Lycoming College, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and M.S. in Disaster Medicine and Management from Philadelphia University. She is currently enrolled in a post-professional doctoral program in Occupational Therapy at Chatham University. Wendy’s clinical experience includes working in acute care, outpatient, and trauma settings, and with people recovering from traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. Prior to teaching she served as a director of rehabilitation in a city-based hospital in Philadelphia. She also served on the board of directors of POTA, and as treasurer for POTA District V. Wendy’s teaching responsibilities include assessment and intervention for adult populations, clinical skills, clinical reasoning, level I fieldwork, functional neuroanatomy and practice platform seminars.
