Endovascular and minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, surgical oncology, stem cell research, alternative approaches to teaching and learning, clinical research.

Biographical Summary:
Laurie is a New York native who moved down to the greater Philadelphia area 7 years ago.  She has been a Physician Assistant for 12 years, initially working in General Surgery but four years ago advanced into Cardiothoracic Surgery.  For several years she has guest lectured at several PA programs, has been adjunct faculty at her alma mater Mercy College, and precepted many PA and medical students during their surgical rotations at her hospital.  Recently she decided to join Philadelphia University as a full time faculty member.
When not working, Laurie enjoys coaching rugby, hiking, going to the beach, cooking and baking, reading historical fiction novels, watching sporting events on TV, and rooting for her home teams in NY.  She currently lives in the Ridley area with her husband and three adorable children.
