Biographical Summary:
Born
in Philadelphia, Mary Barton lived as a child in Florida and as an adult both
in Philadelphia and Boston. Mary worked at Wellesley College for 9 years
providing administrative support to researchers, faculty, counseling staff and
development staff. While there, she collaborated on marketing strategies and
used desktop publishing to design collateral materials for projects. She also worked in event planning and as the
computer coordinator and software licensing administrator at the Wellesley
Centers for Women at Wellesley College.
Prior to that Mary worked in public relations for an Advertising Agency
and owned and operated a daycare facility in Massachusetts.
Mary
enjoys working on creative projects and recently served as an editor for a book
that was published in 2011. She has three sons and three grandchildren. Mary enjoys spending time with her pug named
Lucy who helps entertain her and keeps her active. In her spare time, she loves to cook and knit
as well as other needle arts.
