Application to the MS Program must be submitted through the Centralized Application Service For Physician Assistants (CASPA) as described below.
Philadelphia University is a participant in the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants [CASPA]. To apply for admission into the MS in Physician Assistant Studies program, please visit the CASPA website at
Applications for admission will only be accepted through the CASPA service.
Applications may be sent via CASPA after April 18, 2012. The deadline for submission of application materials for the Fall semester (beginning in late July 2013) is October 1, 2012. Formal review of completed files begins in May for invitation to interview from August through December. A rolling admissions format is utilized.
Due to the volume of applications received it may be beneficial to apply early. Applications are reviewed as they are received and once the class is full, your application may not be reviewed and if interviews are given, they may be for the wait list only.
You must request that official copies of your transcripts be sent directly to CASPA by the institution(s) attended. Student copies of transcripts or copies sent to CASPA directly by the applicant are not acceptable. Letters of reference should also be sent directly to CASPA from the person making the reference.
The GRE exam is not required at the time of application. If you are admitted to the Program, you are required to take the GRE and have the scores sent to Philadelphia University (Code 2666) prior to the start of the Program in July 2013.
If you have already taken your GRE, the scores, however, should be sent directly to Philadelphia University (Code 2666), Office of Graduate Admissions by Educational Testing Services. If you have completed an advanced degree, the GRE is not required.
