Physical Plant

The Physical Plant is responsible for the basic operation and managed care of the physical facilities of the University. Our intention towards comprehensive stewardship allows our historic hundred-plus year-old mansions to be enjoyed alongside modern and architecturally award-winning academic buildings.

Philadelphia University is proud to have been the recipient of the APPA Award for Excellence in 2009. This is the highest award for educational facilities management.

In 2013 Philadelphia University received APPA's Award for Sustainability which validated the University's collective commitment to this important part of our mission.

From the lights, furniture, and equipment in the offices and classrooms, to the floors in the building, energy management, sustainability, event and activity support, new construction and renovations, and the beautiful landscape of our campus; the Physical Plant team of professionals works behind the scenes and around the clock to get the job done!

Please venture though our department web-site. It is intended to be customer friendly and allow you to get to know us, as well as enable you to have direct access to the information and services that you require.
