In addition, the same faculty members serve as first-year and upper-level advisors, to ensure that every student is proceeding appropriately to graduation, and to help with any bumps in the road that may arise.
As a result of Philadelphia University’s small class sizes, collaborative-learning approach, and faculty involvement in advising, faculty form close-knit partnerships with students throughout their stay at Philadelphia University.
In order to prepare students to succeed in their chosen careers, faculty have developed a curriculum that is focused on the needs of our stakeholders. The curriculum is continually reviewed and improved based on feedback from students, faculty, and business leaders, including alumni and executives from the companies that hire our graduates. Business leaders have told us that successful Philadelphia University graduates are professionals who:

| Real- World Experience - Since the professors have extensive backgrounds in the world of commerce, they are able to make the classroom “come to life” by bringing their experiences to the subject at hand. Their connections with business leaders also play an important role in students’ ability to successfully launch or enhance their careers. Collaborative projects address problems and issues faced by actual companies and industries. Many students choose to Study Abroad, learning first hand about other cultural residents of the global economy. Finally, the Internship Program enables students to work with local companies during the course of their studies. With this real-world focus, students have a better understanding of the business world in which they will participate. | |
| Collaboration – One of the cornerstones of Philadelphia University’s Signature Learning approach is collaboration with students and faculty from other disciplines – both within and from outside of the business school. Students work in teams on projects alongside students from the Schools of Design and Media, Engineering and Textiles, Science and Health, Architecture, and Liberal Arts, in much the same way they will work with other members of their future organizations. In that way, they are equipped with the collaboration skills that today’s employers seek. | |
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills - To ensure that students develop the interpersonal attributes necessary for success, those skills are incorporated into business core classes through the Professional Skills initiative. Through a variety of experiences, students become analytical, articulate, ethical, socially responsible, and technologically savvy decision makers and citizens of the global marketplace. |
Many students choose to continue their education beyond the undergraduate level.
| The unique One-Year MBA Program combines classroom instruction, collaborative learning experiences, real-world internship experience, trips abroad, and other leadership activities to prepare students to succeed at advanced levels of their organizations. |
|
| Through the Five-Year BS/MBA option, Pre-MBA students may begin their graduate studies during the senior year, enabling them to enter the graduate program upon graduation, and to complete the requirements within one year. |
|
| In addition to the One-Year MBA, students may also choose from the Traditional MBA Programs, as well as the Master of Science in Taxation. |
As you can see, the School of Business Administration has developed a wide-ranging yet focused curriculum, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, which helps ensure the professional and personal success of its graduates.
