Welcome to the School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University. It is important to know that the SBA focuses on preparing students to succeed in a global environment by building on a tradition that began over 120 years ago.
Our faculty are dedicated to creating an environment in which students learn and grow to achieve their career aspirations. One of the unique aspects of our program includes the professional-skills initiative that identifies a set of outcomes students strive to achieve through articulated experiences. These outcomes include communications, analysis, technological competence and literacy, and ethical discernment, all within a global context.
Students in the School of Business Administration develop extraordinary insight into the businesses and industries they are studying because of their internship experiences. These experiences are monitored and coordinated by the faculty to ensure that meaningful learning is taking place on the job. The internship program facilitates the placement of our students in executive management positions upon graduation.
Diversity among our student body contributes richness to the environment. Students come from 35 countries in various regions around the world. They engage in challenging interdisciplinary programs, events and activities that stimulate their individual creativity and broaden the scope of the learning process.
The park-like campus is both beautiful and inviting. It borders Fairmount Park, which is the oldest public park in the country. And the University is only 15 minutes from Center City with all of its rich culture, historical sites, night life and restaurants.
Our students develop lasting and memorable relationships with the faculty and each other. These bonds have resulted in many of our alumni serving in various capacities to support our programs and to promote them to the greater community.
On behalf of the School of Business Administration and Philadelphia University, I again welcome you to an exceptional educational experience.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth L. Mariotz
Interim Dean
