Credit hours are determined by the number of classroom hours, which is usually three hours per week. Classes last for approximately 15 weeks during the spring and fall semester, so a three credit course meets for 45 hours. A four credit course meets for 60 hours (4 hours each week for 15 weeks), etc.
The numbers following each course title indicate lecture hours, laboratory hours, and credit hours earned. For example,
B122 Introduction to Information Systems has a listing of 2-2-3 which indicates that there are two class hours, two laboratory hours each week, and the number of credits earned is three.
All courses are not offered every semester. Students should consult the course schedules published each semester by the registrar to determine which courses are offered that semester. Students should also talk with their
academic advisor on a regular basis.
Before registering for a course, students must satisfy prerequisites as indicated in the course listings.
