Textile and Apparel Marketing, International Trade; Emerging Economies in Central Asia; a Fulbright Scholar who lectures extensively in India and Central Asia; teaching strategic courses related to the textile, apparel and retail industries with both domestic and global influences. Interests include the global supply chain and the changing and developing retail structures worldwide. Prior to joining the faculty of Philadelphia University, Mr. Frumkin was Senior Vice-President of Carleton Woolen Mills, Inc., responsible for the day-to-day operational and administrative activities, along with product development, foreign financing, and new business development; sits on the advisory boards of a number of textile, apparel and related industry companies; serves as a legal expert witness on industry related legal actions; appointed the Associate Director of the Laboratory for Engineered Human Protection in 2003, a federally funded research initiative which will develop state of the art protective clothing for the military and civilian first responders. Professor Frumkin received the 2005 Presidential Service Award, an award issued by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize the best in the American spirit and encourage all Americans to contribute through volunteer service.
