Professions today
need people who
understand the
global economy and
international
issues, people who
can work in teams
and adapt to change,
people who know how
to learn and realize
that the
undergraduate years
are only the
beginning of a life
of learning. The
world needs men and
women who understand
ethical issues, are
sensitive to
cultural difference,
and are comfortable
working in the
national
multicultural
workforce as well as
in the international
work arena.
Philadelphia
University has
created a general
education core
curriculum, the
College Studies
Program, which
provides students
with the tools to
understand the
social, economic,
political and
environmental
context of their
rapidly changing
professions along
with their
increasing
responsibilities as
world citizens. Our
students graduate
with writing,
research, critical
thinking and
communication
skills, emerging as
professionals making
valuable and
responsible
contributions to
their chosen
fields. Students,
through our College
Studies program,
move beyond a purely
technical education
and become truly
innovative and
effective
professionals.
